We'll Have Paris Forever

Chapters Seven through Eight

Chapter Seven

"So, where do you think we are?" Kasidy asked.

"Well, they beamed us here and from the feeling, we are definitly on a ship." Beverly told her.

All, except Kira, were sitting on the floor against the wall, because there was no place to sit. The cell was nothing but four walls and a titanium door that was locked shut.

Kira had examined the door and could not find a way to break through the strong material. It frustrated her to be confined by the people she had grown to hate since the day she was born.

Kira joined the group again, leaned against the wall and slid down to a sitting position. "So, does anyone have any ideas yet?"

Beverly shook her head and looked back toward Kasidy. She noticed Kasidy was scared, but was not about to admit. She did not need to be a Betazoid to read Kasidy's facial expression when Kasidy asked where they were.

Suddenly, they heard the door open and they stood. "We want the Betazoid to come with us." They demand.

Doctor Bashir stepped forward. "And for what reason may that be for?"

"The Voltra wishes to speak with her."

"She's not going any where." Bashir insisted, although he was not sure at this point how he would stop them.

While the others were not sure if the Cardassian meant Deanna or Lwaxana, they knew and Deanna was not about to let her mother out of her eyesight. At least not without a fight. She did not trust these people anymore than Kira did.

The Cardassian thought about walking in and grabbing her, but realize that would be a stupid move. "Very well. I will return and she will come with us."

The door shut and locked behind him. He walked out and was back not too long later with another Cardassian. They open the door to the cell and demanded Lwaxana again. Deanna and Lwaxana had told them what they had sensed from the man and they devised a course of action. When they heard them return, Beverly put up a united front with the others, due to past history with these people.

"As Dr. Bashir said before." She said firmly. "She's not going anywhere."

They all stood in front of Lwaxana in order to block the Cardassian's way in case they decided to just grab her. Beverly and Bashir were closest to the door. It was then, that Beverly started feeling a bit nervous being so close to the door. The cell was not small but it was not exactly big. It held the seven of them with a little more than personal space, but yet just enough room to keep from bumping into each other.

"Very well." The closest Cardassian said and grabbed Beverly by the arm. It was not a long reach, but yet he had to enter cell slightly. She struggled to break free and Bashir knocked her free from the Cardassian grasp.

"I guess you are volunteering to go." The Cardassian said. "Very well, you were going to have your turn with the Voltra anyway."

The two men drew their phasers and pointed them at Bashir. "I guess she's going to have to be happy with you going out of order."

Bashir was not happy about having a Cardassian phaser pointed at him. He could not tell what the setting was set on and he did not feel like taking any chances.

"OK." Bashir said. He proceeded to go peacefully. "Dr. Bashir." Beverly said.

He turned to her and started to say something, but the two Cardassians jerked him forward and pushed him forward. Then they shut the door to the cell.

"Great!" Kira exclaimed and dropped to the floor of the cell. "Anyone got any better ideas?"

Beverly thought for a minute, but she had no idea at this point what to do. She turned to Deanna. Deanna, with her arms crossed in front of her, shook head.

"The only thing I can say," Deanna said in her Betazoid accent. "Is we can still keep an eye on my mother and we can hope we see Dr. Bashir again."

Beverly fell silent. She had no idea where they were being taken and no idea what was happening to Doctor Bashir. If they returned him needing some sort of medical treatment, she could not help him. Then there was the rest of them.

She felt their chances were bleak. She prayed Jean-Luc and the others would some how get them out of there soon. They were their only hope.

Early the next morning, Admiral Picard and Captain Riker got their crew headed out of space port. They were cruising toward Betazed, because the last Cardassian ship that left the area was heading in that general direction. The two ships were to cross paths with the Defiant along the way.

It was finally confirmed that Beverly had also been abducted by the Cardassians. However, Picard found that of little comfort. He did not know if she was physically fine or not. He knew from past experience how brutal the Cardassians are. She would be lucky if she were physically unharmed.

He thought to himself, "If Deanna is with her, there maybe a chance her psychic will have little harm done." However, that was of little consolation to him, knowing what he knew.

He felt like the trip was longer than usual to the Betazed system. He began to become a little restless and readjusted himself in his chair. The chair gave him some symbolance of control of this mission. He was the head of the mission, being the admiral and all, but the chair made him feel as though he were captain again.

His thoughts went back to Beverly. "We will get those bloody bastards, especially if they lay one hand on her." He was seething with anger and frustration.

An hour later, Bashir was tossed back into the cell. He laid on the floor bloodied and bruised. As he rolled over he spoke with pain in his voice. "I'm fine."

He started to sit up. Beverly and Deanna rushed over to help him into a sitting position. "Deanna, he maybe better off if we could brace him against the wall."

Deanna started to assist Beverly, but Bashir insisted he could make it the short distance to the wall. Beverly braced him as he tried to get to the wall.

Once he was against the wall and sitting down again, Beverly examined him with her naked eye. She felt very insufficent without her equipment, but she had to at least access his condition as best she could.

"Well, aside from some contusion, a bloody nose and lip, I see nothing more serious." She stated.

Dr. Bashir spoke with some discomfort in his voice. "I would agree with your assessment, Doctor."

Beverly almost took offense, but realized now is not the time to split hairs with her colleague. Instead she tore some material off her sleeve and handed it to him. He understood and took it from her. Then he applied pressure to stop the bleeding from his nose.

"Thank you, Dr. Crusher." He replied.

"You know better than to be talking right now." She said. "You just hold that there and stop the bleeding."

"No." He said, the pain still apparent in his voice. "You need to know what happened to be prepared."

"It can't be any worse." She stopped herself and remember what Jean-Luc told her about his experience with the Cardassians. Then she looked at Bashir. "OK, it's not the first choice, right now."

"Yes, I know." He said. "They want to know where Moset is and if they can't have him they want us to agree to continue what he started."

The groups eyes widen. The shear thought of being brutally interragated was one thing, but being forced to perform hideous acts and call it medical science was another.

"I'd sooner die." Beverly stated adamantly.

Bashir just nodded his agreement and started to lie on his side. "Hey." Beverly said to him. "I know you want to lie down, but we need to stop the bleeding first."

She guided him back to a sitting position as he kept the cloth pressed up against his nose. Then suddenly the door opened again. The Cardassians did not speak this time. One stood outside the door with a phaser and the other walked in with a phaser also.

Suddenly, he forcefully grabbed Beverly and dragged her out of the cell protesting. Deanna and Kira started to stop them, but O'Brien grabbed their shoulders and stopped the two of them.

When the door shut and they heard the last of Beverly's protest, Deanna and Kira both turned to O'Brien. "Why did you stop us?" They angerly asked simutaniously.

"Because." He began. "What help would we be if they fired those phasers on us?"

Deanna frowned, started to sit down and said, "He's right."

Kira just steamed and fumed, but did not act on her feelings that she was having right, now. "Well, I for one don't want to be dragged off and then thrown back in the four by four of a room."

"I wouldn't say it's that small." Stated O'Brien.

Kira rolled her eyes and Deanna turn her attention to Dr. Bashir. She sensed his pain. "Doctor, are you doing OK?"

"For the condition that I am in I am doing quite well." He stated as he continued to stop his bleeding.

Deanna turned her empathic senses onto Beverly.

"Tell us where Moset is." The Voltra demand.

They had sedated Beverly due to her struggling with them and tied her to a chair, so that she could not move. It was a brief sedation, but long enough that she was somewhat out of sync with her surroundings.

"I ask you again, where is Moset?"

"I don't know." Beverly replied hostilly.

Suddenly, she felt a slap on her face from the Cardassian standing over her. Through the sting of the slap she turned her head toward the Cardassian and stared at him with fury. As the Voltra spoke again, Beverly reminded herself that this was not going to be the end, but only the begining of what was ahead for them.

"No, Gul Dakot." She said as she raised her hand in a halting way. "I don't want her harmed. At least not yet. Besides, I would think you would really want Sisko's wife to try again and take him down."

Dakot back down and the Voltra continued speaking to Beverly. "You know, I thought your colleague was extremely intelligent or could it be, what's the old saying?"

"I wouldn't know." Beverly said defensively.

"Oh, yes. So smart he's stupid."

Beverly did not respond to her taunting, but instead she just stared through her.

"Well, I see you have no comment on Dr. Bashir." The Voltra said. "Is that to mean you do not give your recommendation for him?"

Beverly said nothing. So, the Voltra looked at Gul Dakot and nodded. Again, Beverly was stung by the back of the Cardassians hand.

Gul Dakot leaned his face close to Beverly's and said, "I would advice you to answer the Voltra's questions no matter what."

Beverly spit in his face. Gul Dakot was about to hit her again, but the Voltra stopped him.

"Spunky doctor aren't we?" The Voltra taunted. "You know, if you were anyone else, I would have Gul Dakot continue, but no, I want to drag this one out. I've heard about your Picard. He's not an easy man to break is he?"

Beverly did not respond. "If you know what's good for you, you'll answer my questions, no matter What you think about them."

"I'm not saying anything." She said defiantly.

"Very well." The Voltra continued. "We'll move on. If you can't tell me where Moset is, then you will have to continue his work. Since Bashir was too stupid to know what is good for him."

"I would sooner die!" Beverly spouted.

"You're just as stubborn, aren't you?" Again she nodded to Dakot and Beverly once more, felt the stinging pain across her face.

She wanted to reach up to her mouth, with her hand, to wipe the trickle of what she knew was blood, but she could not free her hands from what they tied them with. "You are one of the most massacistic persons I ever met." Beverly spouted off to the Voltra.

"Throw her back in with the others and bring me Sisko's wife." She demanded. "I have other plans for Picard that will definitly break him."

"But wouldn't the counselor be better?"

"No." She said. "She may realize what I am going to ask before I ask it. Bring me Sisko's wife first."

"Yes, ma'am." Then he proceeded to untie Beverly's feet so she could walk back. As soon as he loosened them, Beverly kicked him hard, but it was not hard enough to knock him down. Suddenly, she heard the sound of a hypo again and then she saw blackness.

They met up with Sisko nearly two hours away from Betazed. "Nice to see you again." Picard greeted.

"Nice to see you." Sisko returned. "To bad it is not under better circumstances."

"Yes, I agree." There was a brief pause and Picard continued. "I need you and Captain Riker to join me in my Ready Room for a meeting before we arrive to our destination."

"Yes, Sir." Sisko confirmed. "I'll beam over as soon as I can."

The Cardassians brought the unconscious Beverly back to the cell. As they were about to let her drop to the floor, O'Brien hurried to keep her from landing on the hard floor. Bashir found the strength to assist him and they laid her down gently.

Then they heard Deanna and Kasidy say, "No!" Only Kasidy's was more of a scream then just a protest. Deanna and Lwaxana could sense the fear Kasidy was feeling and realized that she may not be able to deal with the situation as well the others. Not that they thought they could, but they were more concerned for Sisko's wife than themselves.

As they dragged the screaming and kicking Kasidy out of the door, the group was again locked in the cell. Lwaxana was livid. "Those dreadful people! We should have..."

"Don't even think it, Mother." Deanna sent. "You know those techniques would have been very adversive to our way of life."

Lwaxana backed down a little. "Yes, maybe you're right, Little One."

Deanna walked over to were bruised Bashir was checking Beverly's pulse. "How is she?"

"She's better off than I am." He said. "I believe she is just sedated, but I can't be sure if she has been drugged in any other way."

Deanna sighed and wondered when her turn was going to be. She knew it was coming. It was the when she was not sure of.

In Picard's Ready Room, the three men talked about possible strategies. Then Picard stopped the discussion.

"We have no idea if we are going the right direction to find them." He stated, then stood and looked out the window behind his desk. "All we have is what the sensors picked up as they left the Terran system."

"True, but we need to come up with something." Riker stated.

"Yes, you're right." Picard said, continuing to stare out the window. The tone in his voice could be heard and Riker became very concerned about his state of mind.

Sisko was even becoming acutely aware that Picard was struggling with controlling his feelings. Not the he and Riker were not, but it seemed that Picard was loosing hope. The room became unbarably quiet.

Sisko finally spoke. "We will find them and get them back, alive."

Picard turned to face Sisko and Riker. "I appreciate your positiveness. It is duely needed and warrented."

"Why do I get the feeling that there's a but coming?" Riker asked.

Picard shook his head and said, "No, there's no butt coming."

"Bridge to Picard."

"Picard here."

"We have the Dominion ship on the sensors."

"I'm on my way." Picard said. His spirits seemed they were lifting some.

The three men walked onto the bridge of the Enterprise. "On screen."

The Dominion ship appeared on the screen. "How long until we reach their communication range?" Riker asked.

"Approximently thirty minutes."

"Hail them as soon as possible." Picard ordered.

Beverly was starting to come around. "Welcome back." Bashir said to lighten the situation.

She sat up slowly, but she was still feeling somewhat groggy. "How long do you think I was out?"

"Well, since you got back, I'd say about thirty minutes." He stated.

She reached up and touched her mouth. "It's swollen."

"A little, but I'm sure you look better than I do." Bashir said.

"Well, I'm glad you are back in one piece." Deanna said.

"Ah!" Kira let out her amazement. "I can't believe none of you feel the least bit of anger about all of this!"

"Oh, I assure you, we do." Deanna asserted.

"Trust me, Kira." Beverly started to tell her. "I spit in Gul Dakot's face for you."

Kira almost laughed at the sentiment. "Well, he deserves more than that."

"Maybe he does, but that was the best I could do, being tied up while they were trying interrogate me." Beverly informed.

The door opened and Kasidy was shoved into the cell crying hysterically. The woman was stronger when Beverly first met her, but now it appearred she was psychologically weakened to the point that Beverly thought she was going to have a break down.

Lwaxana recoiled from what she sensed from Kasidy, while Deanna tried to control her reaction to Kasidy's emotions. Finally, Deanna rose from where she was sitting near Beverly, walked over to Kasidy and place a comforting arm around her.

Kasidy pushed Deanna's arm away and went to sit down in the corner. The rest of the group looked at her with sympathy, but said nothing.

Finally, Kira spoke. "What in the hell did they do to her?"

"Oh, I could tell you that." Lwaxana said.

"Mother." Deanna warned. "I don't think now is the time to replay whatever she was or is thinking and feeling."

"Well." O'Brien began. "At least they have not dragged another one of us out of here."

"For now." Deanna stated. "They'll be back, though."

"Admiral, we're within hailing range."

"Hail them."

"Aye, Sir."

"This is Admiral Jean-Luc Picard of the Federation." Picard stated. "We would like to discuss the release of our people."

Riker thought to himself, "Well, so far he's holding his own."

The face of the Voltra appeared. "We meet again."

"Yes, I guess you can say that." Picard replied. "You have seven of our people and we request they be returned to us immediately."

"Why should we?" She asked.

"Oh, I can give you several reasons." He replied. "For starters they are Federation people you have abducted and the Federation does not look too kindly on that."

"Well, I would return all of them." She said. "Except we won't. Bashir will stay with us until Moset is returned to use and as for your new wife, Picard." She paused for effect. "She's dead."

Chapter Eight

Picard became ashened and was almost frozen to where he stood. "Wh..." He began and tried to shake off the feeling of dread. "I'm sorry, what did you say?"

"She's dead." The Voltra stated again. "I have the recorded visual, if you like, as proof. We discarded the body."

"I really find your mind games hard to believe." Riker finally said.

"Oh, beleive me, it's not a mind game." Voltra stated.

Picard refused to believe it himself. He did not want to believe it, but he felt as though he could crumble on the inside.

Riker glanced over to Picard and saw that he was torn by the situation. "You may send them over if you wish, but we will not consider it proof until we see the body." Riker replied. "Enterprise out."

The screen flashed back to space with the Dominion ship floating in space. "Admiral, may I see you in the Ready Room?" Riker asked.

"No, I'd like sometime alone to think on what our next move should be." Picard said as he headed to his Ready Room.

"This maybe of some help to you, if you hear me out." Riker replied, knowing full well that Picard was not going in there just to think about the next move.

Picard turn back toward Riker. "OK, you may join me in my Ready Room."

The two walked into the Ready Room. Riker sat on his usual side of the desk, while Picard stood and looked out the window.

"Sir," Riker began. "I am almost certain that the Cardassians and Dominion are playing mind games here."

"Yes, Number One." Picard said quietly. "I'm well aware that you may be right about that."

There was a brief silence and Picard turned away from the window to face Riker. "You know, Will," He began, looking extremely sadden as he turned his gaze away from Riker. "Beverly has stolen my heart and my soul. If anything were to ever happened to her, I don't know what I would do."

The man Riker had known all these years looked as though he could break at any moment. He had never seen Picard like this before, but Riker understood his feelings all too well.

"I can understand that. If it helps any, Deanna is over there." Riker reminded. "I think I would know if we lost anyone and I don't feel that coming from Deanna."

Picard looked at Riker as though his spirits were lifted slightly. "Thank you for your information, Will." He said. "I'll take it to heart. For now, let's get our people back and alive. Dismissed."

Will left for the bridge that was suppose to be Picard's, but was he was highly concerned for Picard's can in mood. He was glad he lifted some of his former captain's mood, but he was suppose to be on the Valiant. Instead, he was leaving his first in command in charge of his ship, while he took over the Admiral's bridge. Then the feeling of old times washed over him.

"Bring me the Betazoid and this time don't bring me anyone else!" The Voltra ordered.

"Yes, Ma'am." Said Gul Dakot and he departed for the prisoner.

"There's always two of them and seven of us." Kira noted. "Next time they come, I say we rush them and take our chances with their phasers."

"No, there's not seven of us." Deanna said and looked over to Kasidy still quietly curled up in the corner. The others followed Deanna's gaze.

"The counselor is right." Bashir agreed. "What will we do with her if we rush them?"

"I can't do any counseling here and not that fast." Deanna stated. "And we can't leave her."

Lwaxana suddenly gasped slightly. "What is it, Mother?"

"It's nothing, Little One." She responded. "It'll be alright."

"No, it's not nothing." Deanna replied.

Then the door opened. This time there were five Cardassians with phasers. Gul Dakot walked into the cell and grabbed Lwaxana by the wrist.

"No!" Deanna cried out. "You can take me, but leave her, please!"

"The Voltra doesn't want you right now." Dakot stated. "She wants this one."

"It'll be alright, Little One." Lwaxana sent, trying to reassure her. "If there were Jem H'adar on board I would have sensed them by now."

Deanna started to go after them, but a phaser was shoved into her face. She backed up and the door was closed and locked.

Beverly walked over to her and placed a sympathetic arm around her. Beverly did not have to be a Betazoid to feel Deanna's fear and anguish.

Lwaxana was shoved into the Voltra's office and forcefully seated into a chair. "Please!" Lwaxana said. "You don't have to be so forceful."

They proceeded to tie her hands and feet to the chair. "Now where am I going to go?" She protested. "You have armed Cardassians all over this place."

"Shut up!" Gul Dakot slapped her across the face.

Lwaxana flinched from the pain, then managed to find her voice again. "Now was that really necessary?"

He smacked her across the face again. "Shut up, if you know what's good for you!"

"Enough, Dakot." The Voltra said as she walked in from a side door and walked over to Lwaxana. She looked menicing at Lwaxana. "You were part of the Resistance weren't you?"

"Was I?"

"I thought Betazoids didn't lie." She asked Lwaxana.

"We don't." Lwaxana stated firmly.

"Then what was that question about?"

"I only asked you, because you seem to know that answer already."

"Touche'. " She said. Then she stared at Lwaxana for what seemed like minutes. Lwaxana sensed her thoughts, but knew this was not a time to admit it.

"If you are trying to find out if I am a strong telepath, that is a very poor way of doing it." Lwaxana stated defensively.

"Bring me the female doctor and the other Betazoid!" The Voltra demanded.

"Ah, You don't want Deanna." Lwaxana said with panic in her voice. "She's half human and is no where near being telepathic."

"Oh, how sweet!" Said the Voltra. "Trying to protect a fellow Betazoid, but that's what you've done for quite a while now. Especially with family."

"Please, leave her alone." Lwaxana said in fear. "Besides, emotions is what killed the Jem H'adar."

"Oh, so you were there?" The Voltra taunted.

"Maybe I was, but I can tell you that emotions kill them, eventually." Lwaxana said. "So, please.."

Lwaxana stopped when she heard the other two women struggling against the Cardassians and being shoved forcefully into the room.

"Tie the other Betazoid." The Voltra ordered.

Then she approached Beverly, who was still at phaser point. "You will draw the cells from them, so we can just see how strong they are."

"I will not!" Beverly protested.

"You will or die." She said to Beverly. Then pointing to another of her crew. "Get the tools she needs ready in the lab."

"I won't do it." Beverly insisted.

The Cardassian behind her grabbed her and the phaser was suddenly directly at her throat. Beverly swallowed hard. "Um, there is another way."

"I'm listening." Stated the Voltra.

"I can draw DNA samples from their blood."

"Go on." She said.

"Then I can run the tests needed to decipher how strong the gene is in them."

"Do it." The Voltra commanded. "You're luckly I don't like prisoners killed, if it can be helped."

Beverly took a deep sigh of relief as the Cardassian released her. However, she was shoved in the direction of the lab. Deanna and Lwaxana were carried into the room still tied to the chairs.

Beverly looked the tools over and saw they were pretty standard. "You replicated Federation medical equipment?"

"Of course." Said the Cardassian that was to assist her.

"When was the last time they were sterilized?" Beverly asked, trying to stall for time.

"We just replicated them."

"I need them sterilized before I can proceed." Beverly informed.

The man turned toward the Voltra. "Get her whatever she needs." The Voltra told him.

The young Cardassain gather the tools and went to sterilize them. "Please do not handle them on the way back." Beverly tried to order, but her order came out more as a plea then an actual order.

"I will leave you to your work." The Voltra said. "But remember, I have my people at the doors. So don't think you can try anything."

Beverly watched her leave the lab and breathed a sigh of relief. Then Beverly leans over to Lwaxana. "Are you alright, Mrs. Troi?"

"Aside from having been worried about what was going to happen to Deanna, I'm fine." Lwaxana informed her. "Knowing that you're doing this helps a little."

"Don't count on that either." Beverly stands, then looks around the room and at the doors. Then bends back over between the two. "If I can devise a plan to untie you two, can you be ready for anything?"

"I think so." Deanna answered, looking at her mother.

Lwaxana gave a slight nod.

The assistant returned with the sterile tools and set them back down on the counter. Beverly acted as though she were trying to figure out how to draw the blood from them. Then she walked over to the counter and filled a hypospray with the seditive that was provided her. She thought that was probably there for the other procedure they wanted.

"I really need one of their arms to do this." She informed the man. "I can't do this with their arms behind them."

"Well, we really need to keep them tied up." He said.

Beverly could tell this young man was a new Cardassian recruit. "This might be easier than I thought." She thought to herself.

"Well, I really need one of their arms or I can't do this at all." She insisted as she filled a second hypo.

"Well, OK, but if anything happens."

"Don't worry, I'll take the brunt of it, I assure you." She told him.

The young Cardassian untied the older woman first and Beverly walked over as though she were about to draw Lwaxana's blood. Then when Deanna had one arm freed she brought it up from behind her and hit the side of her hand into the back of the Cardassian's neck before he had a chance to stand up. Deanna looked at Beverly for a minute as Beverly watched the doors to see if the guards noticed anything.

"Looks like they are oblivious to us." Beverly said. Then she gestured for them to rise and go to the opposite door from what the Voltra left. She held the hypos in her pocket with her hand ready to use it.

Deanna and Lwaxana stood to the side of the door trying to stay out of sight as Beverly opened the door. The guard turned. "You know, I find Cardassian men rather handsome." She said trying to be suductive and not to gag on her own words.

The guard looked at her for a moment and almost lowered his guard. "You finished with your work?" He growled.

"This one maybe more difficult." She thought. Then told him. "I'm running their blood through now, but I thought while we waited, I could talk to someone handsome."

She ran a finger down the front of his uniform. He was still resisting her advancements. "If I could just get close enough to him." She thought.

She moved in closer to him. "I've always wondered what it was like." She taunted him her hand rubbing acrossed his chest.

He lowered his phaser slightly and she slowly moved her hand up around his neck. She moved in even closer and as she did, she slowly moved her other hand up and behind him. As she came within inches of kissing him, she released the hypo into the back of his neck.

Her weight pushing up against his was not quite enough to keep him from falling towards her, but she managed to pull her body out of the way before he landed on her. While he was falling to floor Deanna jump out from behind the door and grabbed his phaser. Lwaxana followed.

Beverly looked both directions, then whispered. "Now what?"

Deanna held the phaser in front of her. "That way."

"I only have one hypo left." Beverly informed her quietly. "We have to figure out how to get another weapon some how."

"Deanna." Lwaxana sent.

"I know, I sense them too."

Deanna pointed to what she hoped was an unlocked storage door. "Damn!" She said in a whispered after she tried the door.

Just then two Cardassians rounded the corner and spotted them. Lwaxana and Beverly froze as Deanna held the phaser pointed at them. Unfortunately, two more were pointed back at them.

"Transporter room." Will called from the bridge.

<"Transporter room here.">

"Can you get a lock on non-Cardassians and non-Dominion on that ship over there? Then beam those people over?" Riker asked.

<"I can try, Sir.">

"Don't try, Do it!" Riker ordered, gruffly.

<"Aye, Sir.">

"I'm tired of playing their game." Riker said in anger.
